Reiki & Distant Reiki
Reiki is a complementary therapy designed to release emotional tensions, rebalance the body, and promote overall well-being. Developed by Mikao Usui in the mid-1800s in Japan, Reiki’s roots trace back to ancient Indian healing traditions. In Japanese, Reiki means "Universal Life Energy", and it is not tied to any religion or belief system. Reiki may be beneficial for those struggling with: somatic symptoms (headaches, stomach aches, muscle tension), sleep difficulties and insomnia, anxiety and low mood, feelings of overwhelm and exhaustion, chronic fatigue, body trauma. Cancer Research UK also mentions Reiki as one of supportive therapies for those undergoing cancer treatment or in palliative care. Reiki treatments help promote deep relaxation, release stuck energy, and support healing on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. Many clients leave feeling lighter, more grounded, recharged, and at peace. For distant Reiki sessions, clients are sent a personalised recording with insights and recommendations.
