From Little Acorns, Mighty Oak Trees Grow
Warm, trauma-informed counselling and play therapy for children, teenagers, young adults and parents. Supporting emotional wellbeing, anxiety, low mood, trauma, family difficulties, self-esteem and emotional regulation.
When a child or teenager is struggling, it can be difficult to know what they need or where to begin. Kaya offers a calm, compassionate and confidential space where children and young people can explore their feelings in a way that feels safe, age-appropriate and supportive.
Her work brings together counselling, play therapy, creativity, mindfulness and trauma-informed practice to support emotional healing, resilience and connection.
Kaya supports children, teenagers, young adults and parents through a warm, creative and trauma-informed approach.
Children and teenagers do not always express emotional distress through words. Sometimes feelings appear as anger, withdrawal, sleep problems, anxiety, low confidence, physical symptoms or difficulties at school. Therapy gives them space to express what is happening inside and develop healthier ways to cope.
Kaya is an integrative child and adolescent counsellor with over 18 years’ experience supporting children, young people and parents across education, charities and private practice.
She is a registered member of the BACP and works in a gentle, creative and trauma-informed way, using counselling, play, art, movement and mindfulness to support each child’s emotional development.
