Understand, connect and respond

Practical support for a more connected family life

Connected Families is a six-week attachment-informed parenting programme for parents and carers of children and teenagers with ADHD, autism, anxiety or heightened sensitivity.

The programme may also be helpful for any parent who wants to understand their child more deeply, respond to emotional overwhelm with greater confidence and strengthen their relationship.

Through a combination of professional guidance, reflection and practical tools, the programme explores how attachment, nervous system responses and family patterns can influence behaviour, communication and connection.

This programme may be helpful when:

  • Family life often feels tense, reactive or emotionally overwhelming.
  • You are unsure what may be happening beneath your child's behaviour.
  • Repeated conflict is affecting trust and communication.
  • Your child experiences anxiety, sensory sensitivity or difficulty regulating emotions.
  • You want to set clearer boundaries without losing connection.
  • You would like practical strategies that feel compassionate, realistic and sustainable.
What you will explore

What the programme will cover

Across six live online sessions, Kaya and Francesca will explore the emotional, relational and nervous system factors that can influence family life.

The programme combines information, guided reflection and practical strategies. There will also be opportunities to consider how the ideas relate to your own child and family.

The group format provides a supportive environment where parents can learn without judgement and recognise that they are not alone in the challenges they may be facing.
